Making the decision to seek out therapy is courageous and at times, anxiety-provoking. Dr. Foresman works to provide a supportive, non-judgmental and understanding environment, building a positive rapport and sense of trust. She will work to guide you in allowing yourself to be open and vulnerable in an effort to explore your concerns at a deeper level. Together you will work together to better understand the underlying issues creating disruption in your daily functioning and initiate lasting change.
Dr. Foresman works to help individuals gain a better understanding of themselves, what motivates their actions, interactions and relationship styles in an effort to work towards enacting improvement in functioning. She will encourage you to explore what has happened to you, not what is 'wrong' with you.
Dr. Foresman utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy. She pulls from her psychodynamically-oriented training and incorporates elements of interpersonal psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral strategies as well as mindfulness techniques into her work.
Dr. Foresman has experience working with a diverse client population and takes pride in providing a safe space for POC and LGBTQ+ individuals.
